Mailgroups & evaluate caching for a better user experience

  • When I open my campaign clickers I need to wait several seconds.

 

What does it do?

We have optimized the way our backend system provides you the needed information concerning your mailgroups and marketing campaigns.

This will increase your end user experience while working with out application.

 

How does it work?

On both the segment - mailgroups page as well as your campaign evaluation page, you shall see this new functionality ( if the account settings is active )

We now calculate the result numbers and refresh them on nightly basis.

This refresh rate is setup as follows :

For contact groups : 

On nightly basis we now calculate each static and dynamic contact group.

And the refresh rate is 24 hours.

Each night the contact numbers are calculated again.

Inside the upper right corner of the segment mail groups section you see the last calculated timestamp.

For your campaign evaluation :

On nightly basis we now calculate each campaign results. The refresh is defined as described below.

For campaigns younger then 2 days we don't use the caching mechanism as these metrics are still evolving.

For campaign between 2 days and 4 days, we calculate the metrics on nightly basis and the refresh rate is 12 hours, so each 12 hours they are automatically refreshed.

For campaign between 4 and 7 days,  we calculate the metrics on nightly basis and the refresh rate is 48 hours

For campaigns between 7 and 28 days, we calculate the metrics on nightly basis and the refresh rate is 72 hours

Older campaigns are cached for 10 years.
